LET THERE BE LIGHT OR DREAMS COME TRUE

Emerland Charitable Foundation | LET THERE BE LIGHT OR DREAMS COME TRUE

This story began at the beginning of October, when, unfortunately, it was already clear that the energy crisis, along with the humanitarian catastrophe, will inevitably grow as a cruel and comprehensive danger and lead to the most unexpected and tragic consequences. When the presence or absence of electricity began to become an indicator of the chance for survival or its absence...

It was at this time that we received a letter from the NGO "RODOLAD", from which we learned about their wonderful, life-affirming project — the "Ecology of Childhood" rehabilitation center, which is the first and only volunteer-type project of this direction in Kharkiv region (the city of Liubotyn). Within its framework for more than 5 years, a unique program for the rehabilitation of children with developmental disabilities has been implemented, which has already helped dozens of young Ukrainians make a gradual transition to a full life.

Due to the constant destruction by the occupiers of the critical infrastructure of Ukraine, every other day there was no electricity supply in the premises of the rehabilitation center, and, accordingly, also, the light, heat and water supply necessary to ensure the operation of the facility and proper care of the children. This meant only one thing: if this situation is not corrected asap, the center will not be able to function and, accordingly, all its pupils will lose the last chance for harmonious development in the conditions of war.

The team of the Emerland Charitable Foundation and our incredible friends from Great Britain "Souls4Good" could not allow this to happen. On December 28, despite another barrage of shelling and wailing sirens, the children of the "Ecology of Childhood" rehabilitation center received their most important gift - a generator!!!

Currently, a high-speed autonomous device fully meets all the needs of the institution in the absence of a central power supply, so our little compatriots continue to receive treatment, education and, of course, celebrate New Year's holidays.

We would like to express our special thanks to the Egan family, the leaders of the NGO "Souls4Good", Kirill Osypov, Executive Director of the Emerland Charitable Foundation, Olha Bulhakova, Programs and projects coordinator of the Emerland Charitable Foundation, and the "BUDMIR" company for making another miracle happen for our children.

Doing good deeds together!!!
